What came to be a mere group idea now became a reality. Started off by the 2008 diamond presidents who attended an induction in Iloilo in 2008, the idea on Midyear Academy became a yearly “pit stop” of sorts for the local presidents. This helped them recharge from their busy JCI lifestyle and connect with their fellow presidents.
Last year’s Midyear Academy were held in Zamboanga and Cavite cities. This year’s pitstop is in the queen city of south – the city of Cebu. JCI Cebu, the host local organization, successfully drew a combination of group learning activity, business networking event, edge coaster challenge and island adventure activities in Nalusuan Island last May 16 & 17, that made this year’s Midyear Academy a unique respite. 2009 NP Fulbert Woo also took time off and visited the presidents during their learning sessions at the Ecotech Center to which the presidents were billeted.
